On September 14, 2001, Chair Stanley Sadinsky convened to hear an application for a teletheatre licence from Rideau Carleton Raceway via teleconferencing in Toronto. Wendy Hoogeveen appeared for the Administration in Toronto.
By telephone from Ottawa, Peter Andrusek represented Rideau Carlton Raceway.
Upon hearing the submissions, the Ontario Racing Commission approved a teletheatre licence as follows:
Licensee: Rideau Carlton Raceway
Site: 84 Main Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario
Site Operator: Vankleek Hill Windsor Tavern Ltd., known as Windsor Tavern
effective September 27, 2001, subject to the condition that the licence shall be revoked upon an order of the Director where the Director is satisfied that any form of gaming, betting, wagering, pool-selling, book-making or similar activity, including any form of lottery scheme or game of chance, is being conducted, managed or operated other than in accordance with the law on the premises of the Windsor Tavern or by or involving in any capacity Vankleek Hill Windsor Tavern Ltd. or any of its officers, directors or shareholders.
