FOR RIDEAU CARLETON RACEWAY
On November 29th, 2001, Chair Stanley Sadinsky Q.C., Vice Chair Herbert Bryant and Commissioners Patricia Bullock and Bruce Duncan convened to hear the application.
Executive Director Jean Major and Legal Counsel Don Bourgeois appeared for the Administration.
Legal Counsel Robert Lewis and Director of Racing and Marketing Ron Barr represented Rideau Carleton Raceway. Legal Counsel Jean Marc MacKenzie, Robert Carrs and James Masse appeared on behalf of the Ontario Harness Horse Association, and Georges Groulx, Jr. appeared on behalf of the Association Trot et Amble du Québec.
The Ontario Racing Commission, after hearing the submissions from the applicant and the parties to the hearings, approved the application for live and intertrack race dates, as well as dates for all off-track locations.
A calendar of the live dates approved for 2002 is attached.
