COMMISSION HEARING TORONTO, ONTARIO – March 3, 2000
IN THE MATTER OF THE RACING COMMISSION ACT, R.S.O. 1990, c. R2;
AND IN THE MATTER OF A HEARING INTO TELETHEATRE OPERATIONS:
An application for a teletheatre licence to be located at 557 Kathleen Street in Sudbury to be known as Dante’s Den, was received from Sudbury Downs Raceway.
Chair Stanley Sadinsky, Q.C. and Commissioners Diane Carlton and Thomas Deacon convened to hear the application. Commission Counsel Ann Gibson, and Wendy Hoogeveen appeared for the Administration.
Parties to the hearing included Sudbury Downs Raceway, represented by Ron Miron, Manager of Teletheatre Operations.
Upon hearing the submissions of the parties to the hearing and upon reviewing the exhibits filed, the Ontario Racing Commission, by majority decision, approved the application, conditional upon receipt of the new liquor license.
