REASONS FOR DISPOSITION

Introduction
1On January 31, 2024, Mr. C. (A.) was found unfit to stand trial on Criminal Code charges of resisting or willfully obstructing a peace officer, mischief in relation to property under $5000.00, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and sexual assault (along with other charges that are no longer in issue). Mr. C. (A.) was admitted to the Southwest Centre for Forensic Mental Health Care (“Southwest Centre” or “the Hospital”) on February 5, 2024, pursuant to a court-issued treatment order. He was then found fit to stand trial by the court on April 3, 2024, and was returned to the hospital on a “keep fit” order. On February 5, 2025, the court found Mr. C. (A.) unfit to stand trial in respect of the specific charges named above. The court did not make a Disposition but remanded Mr. C. (A.) into the custody of the Hospital pending the making of a Disposition by the Ontario Review Board.
2Mr. C. (A.) then appeared before the Ontario Review Board (“ORB” or “the Board”) on April 29, 2025. The Board found him unfit to stand trial and issued a Disposition, dated May 8, 2025, ordering his
