REASONS FOR DISPOSITION

Introduction:
On December 1, 2022, Ms. Oluseum Omiyi was found unfit to stand trial, on charges of utter a threat to cause death or bodily harm, assault with a weapon and mischief – over $5000, all contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (“Criminal Code”).
Ms. Omiyi is subject to a Disposition of the Ontario Review Board (the “Board”), dated February 2, 2024, finding her unfit to stand trial, and detaining her at the Forensic Psychiatry Program of St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton – West 5th Campus (“St. Joseph's”).
On January 29, 2025, the Board convened a hearing at St. Joseph's to conduct the annual review of the current Disposition.
Ms. Omiyi was present and was represented by her counsel, Mr. L. Dimitry.
A Hospital Report, dated December 23, 2024 (the "Hospital Report"), was entered as Exhibit 1.
