Introduction
On January 9, 2018, S. (A.) was found unfit to stand trial on three counts of sexual assault pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada.
S. (A.) is currently subject to a Disposition of the Ontario Review Board (“ORB”) dated December 5, 2023, which detains him at the Forensic Service of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Toronto, hereinafter referred to as “CAMH” and/or the hospital. S. (A.)’s Disposition includes permission to live in the community of the Greater Toronto Area, in supervised accommodation approved by the person in charge. S. (A.) also has privileges to enter the community of the Greater Toronto Area accompanied by staff or persons approved by the person in charge.
On March 26, 2025, the Ontario Review Board convened a hearing at CAMH to review S. (A.)’s Disposition pursuant to s. 672.48(1) and s. 672.81(1) of the Criminal Code. S.
