DECISION OF THE TRIBUNAL: November 7, 2023
This is an application under the Pay Equity Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.7, as amended (“the Act”). This application was filed on October 16, 2023.
The Tribunal sent a confirmation of filing to the parties on October 16, 2023. In that document, the Tribunal sets out that the respondent had ten days to deliver its response to the applicant, and five additional days to file the response with the Tribunal.
The respondent has not filed a response in accordance with the timelines set out in the Confirmation of Filing or the Tribunal’s Rules of Practice.
In this application, the Pay Equity Office seeks remedies as set out in Schedule “C” to its application. These remedies are the reasonable procedural steps to establish a pay equity plan.
Given that the facts set out in the application are uncontested and the remedies are not challenged, the Tribunal orders the remedies as requested by the Pay Equity Office.
