Decision
[1]. This is an application under the Pay Equity Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.7 as amended (“the Act”). This application was filed on April 24, 2020.
[2]. By Registrar’s letter (“Requirement to Complete Application Process”) dated April 28, 2020, the applicants were advised by the Tribunal that their application was incomplete. Specifically, the Registrar informed the applicants they had not provided contact information for the responding party or responding parties and that no Certificate of Delivery had been completed.
[3]. The April 28, 2020 letter was sent to all five email addresses provided as the contact information for the applicants.
[4]. The letter warned the applicants that the application will be deemed abandoned if they do not provide the information requested:
In order for the Board to process your application further, it must include the requested information. Please provide it to the Board and to the other parties within 10 working days from the date of this letter. Please ensure that a new Certificate of Delivery (showing the date you served the amended/completed application) is attached to the material you are filing.
If you fail to deliver and file the amended/completed application within the allotted time you will be deemed to have abandoned this application.
[5]. The Tribunal has received nothing further.
[6]. Accordingly, the application cannot be processed and is thereby terminated without prejudice to the applicants’ ability to file a fresh application in the future that provides the required information.
