These are applications under the Pay Equity Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.7, as amended (“the Act”).
By letter dated May 6, 2020, the parties have requested the Tribunal to reschedule the May 29, 2020 hearing date to a date in October or November, 2020. The Tribunal grants this request. The May 29, 2020 hearing date is cancelled.
In the same letter, the parties have also requested leave to extend the timelines for filing the witness statements previously directed to thirty calendar days prior to the rescheduled hearing date. The Tribunal grants this extension.
Lastly, in the same letter the parties advised that a disclosure issue has arisen between them and that they believe that the issue can be addressed through written submissions. The parties are directed to file, electronically, written submissions on this issue. The Tribunal directs the party seeking disclosure to file its submissions regarding the dispute by no later than June 30, 2020. The party responding to the request shall have until July 21, 2020 to file any response submissions. The party seeking the disclosure shall have until August 11, 2020 to file any reply submissions.
A panel of the Tribunal will consider the submissions in due course.
The matter of rescheduling the hearing date is directed to the Registrar.
