DECISION OF THE TRIBUNAL: November 29, 2017
This is an application under the Pay Equity Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.7 as amended (“the Act”) in respect of an Order issued by Review Officer Risa Caplan (“the Review Officer”) on September 27, 2017 ordering the applicant to provide to certain information, including payroll records.
I am issuing this decision pursuant to the authority conferred under section 4.2(1) of the Statutory Powers Procedure Act.
According to the Statement of Service that accompanied the application, the application was served on the Review Officer.
The issues raised in the application go to the jurisdiction of the Pay Equity Office (through its Review Officers) to make the Order that is the subject of this application.
The Registrar is directed to provide the Pay Equity Office with a copy of the application and Statement of Service, together with a copy of this decision.
The Pay Equity Office shall have ten days from the date of receipt of the materials referred to in the preceding paragraph to file and serve its response to the application.
