DECISION OF THE TRIBUNAL: June 5, 2017
[1]. This is an application under the Pay Equity Act, R.S.O. c. P.7, as amended (“the Act”), which is scheduled for a hearing on June 6, 2017.
[2]. Section 4.2(1) of the Statutory Powers Procedure Act permits a panel of one to issue this decision.
[3]. By correspondence dated June 5, 2017, the applicant has requested a 1-month adjournment. It advises that it plans on submitting a new pay equity plan to the Pay Equity Commission which “will address all outstanding issues.”
[4]. I note that this matter has already been adjourned on two other occasions. Under the circumstances, the Tribunal will not set an additional hearing date at this time. This matter will be adjourned sine die for a period of three months from the date of this decision, and will be deemed to be terminated at the expiry of that period without further notice to the parties unless, prior to that date, the Tribunal receives a request that it proceed.
