Decision
1These are applications under the Pay Equity Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.7, as amended.
2Section 4.2(1) of the Statutory Powers Procedure Act permits a panel of one to decide the procedural issue (described below) that arises in these matters.
3By way of a decision dated August 28, 2015, the Tribunal (differently constituted) directed that a hearing into the request for reconsideration filed by The Ottawa-Carleton Public Employees Union, Local 503 (“Local 503”) be scheduled in Toronto. Counsel for Local 503 then requested that the hearing be held in Ottawa.
4I direct the Registrar to schedule a teleconference so that I may consult with counsel for the parties for the purpose of exploring whether or not it is appropriate to hear the merits of the request for reconsideration in a subsequent teleconference, thereby saving the parties and the Board the time and cost of travel.
