Decision
This is a referral under subsection 24(5) of the Pay Equity Act, R.S.O 1990, c. P.7 as amended (the "Act").
Although duly served with the application on February 25, 2010 according to the applicant's Statement of Service, the respondent, Corsteel Hydraulics Ltd., did not file a response. Nor did the respondent attend the Pre-Hearing Conference.
By letter dated June 21, 2010, counsel for the Pay Equity Commission ("the Commission") requests that the Tribunal confirm the Review Officer's Order that the respondent has contravened the Act, without a hearing. In the alternative, the Commission requests that the Tribunal schedule a hearing.
If the respondent opposes the Commission's request that the Tribunal proceed to confirm the Review Officer's Order without an oral hearing it must file and deliver its written reasons on or before July 30, 2010.
