[1] On July 10, 2025, Nakatsuru J. ordered appellant’s materials be delivered by July 31, 2025, and respondent’s materials by August 14, 2025. By email dated Sep. 11, 2025, court staff advised the parties of the appeal date of January 19, 2026. On January 15, 2026, counsel for the respondent advised that the parties had received a reminder about the appeal on January 19th but that no materials had been filed. At the scheduled hearing, no one appeared.
[2] The appeal is dismissed as abandoned and for failure to follow the directions of the case management judge and failure to respond to scheduling emails from court staff. In this regard, I note that it is the parties’ responsibility to provide an active email address to the court, and to monitor that email while proceedings are ongoing.
[3] Since the respondent filed no materials and did not appear, there shall be no order as to costs.
