[1] The motion for leave to appeal from the costs order of J.R. McCarthy J. dated October 30, 2020 (2020 ONSC 6604) is dismissed, with costs to the responding party / plaintiff from the moving parties / defendants, jointly and severally, fixed at $5,000, payable within thirty days.

[2] The moving party also sought leave to appeal the order of J.R. McCarthy J. respecting the award of interest. Leave is not required to appeal the interest award, and this issue may be addressed at the hearing of the appeal from the trial judgment or as the appeal panel may direct.
