Per curiam:

1 The appeal herein is dismissed. The court is unanimous in its view that in effect it is being requested to substitute its decision for that of the learned trial judge on the issues of quantum and duration of support payments; we have concluded that on the basis of the authorities (Hickey v. Hickey (1999), 46 R.F.L. (4th) 1 (S.C.C.)) that the facts in this case do not warrant our intervention.

2 Counsel may communicate with the court respecting costs if necessary.

Appeal dismissed.
