MEMORANDUM OF ORAL DECISION DELIVERED BY A. MASON ON MAY 19, 2026 AND ORDER OF THE TRIBUNAL
INTRODUCTION
1This is the Decision from the third Case Management Conference (“CMC”) for Tribunal File No. OLT-25-000607 with respect to an appeal under s. 17(36) of the Planning Act (“Act”) against the decision of the Town of Caledon (“Town”) to adopt Official Plan Amendment No. 285 (“OPA 285”). This is also the second CMC for Tribunal File No. OLT-25-000938 being an appeal under s. 17(24) of the Act against the adoption of Official Plan Amendment No. 2 (“OPA 2”) by the Town. Both OPA’s relate to establishing the Wildfield Village Secondary Plan.
2At a prior CMC, the Tribunal determined that these matters would be heard together but not consolidated.
3In the earlier CMC’s, Party status was granted to Global Properties Inc., Global Properties (1) Inc. and Global Properties (2) Inc. in both appeals.
4Participant status was previously granted to the Peel District School Board in both appeals.
STATUS OF MATTER
5In the Decision from the prior CMC, the Tribunal directed the Parties to provide a draft Procedural Order with Issues List (“PO”) in advance of this CMC. The Parties failed to do so and informed the Tribunal that they been engaged in productive discussions to narrow or resolve the issues that had continued until the eve of this CMC. Ultimately, they had not resolved matters nor come to agreement on a final list of issues for adjudication. Given their progress to resolve matters, the Parties are now seeking a further CMC at which a draft PO would be presented and the matter set down for a hearing.
6To this end, the Tribunal scheduled another CMC on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 to commence at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. by video hearing to accommodate Counsel already in Tribunal hearings.
7The Parties are directed to submit a draft PO three days in advance of the next CMC, no later than Friday, June 12, 2026. The Tribunal further directs the Parties to attend the next CMC having canvassed dates among themselves for a hearing and be prepared to discuss their justification for the requested hearing dates.

8The next CMC Hearing is scheduled to proceed by video on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 9 a.m.

13As of March 30, 2026, all hearing events are governed by the Tribunal’s Artificial Intelligence Practice Direction. This Practice Direction requires a party, participant, or witness to include a declaration within each submitted document if generative AI was used to create or generate content.
ORDER
14THE TRIBUNAL ORDERS THAT:
A further Case Management Conference is set down for Tuesday June 16, 2026, at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. by video conference.
The Parties shall file the draft Procedural Order and Issues List three days in advance of the next Case Management Conference being Friday, June 12, 2026.
