MEMORANDUM OF ORAL DECISION DELIVERED BY DAVID BROWN ON JANUARY 13, 2026 AND ORDER OF THE TRIBUNAL
1The Tribunal convened a Case Management Conference (“CMC”) with respect to an Appeal filed by Denison Mines Inc. (“Appellant”) regarding conditions attached to an Amended Environmental Compliance Approval No. 9801-DGZTNK, dated September 22, 2025. (“Amended Approval”). The Amended Approval addresses the decommissioning of a former uranium mine on the property located at 1000 Cider Lake Road in Elliot Lake.
2The Parties advised the Tribunal that they are jointly seeking an adjournment of the CMC to facilitate settlement discussions.
3The Director, Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (“Director”) provided a draft Procedural Order to the Appellant in advance of the CMC and the Appellant responded to the Director with a proposal to resolve the appeal. The Parties are requesting time to discuss the proposal and possibly negotiate a settlement of the appeal.
4The Tribunal scheduled a half-day for a further CMC to be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 10 a.m. by video hearing.

9Should the Parties be successful in the settlement negotiations, they are to advise the Tribunal as soon as possible of the settlement and they may request the Tribunal to convert the CMC to a Settlement Hearing. Failing that, the Parties shall submit a draft Procedural Order to the Tribunal by Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
10The case management directives set out above are so ordered.
11There will be no further notice provided in respect of these proceedings.
