UPON APPEAL having been brought by the County of Middlesex, under section 53(19) of the Planning Act, regarding an application by Peter Gubbels (“LCP Farms Inc.”) to permit the severance of approximately one acre of farmland from a 49-acre parcel. The foundation remains from a dwelling that was removed in 2005. The entire parcel is owned by Roger and Nancy Lefebvre and is located at municipal address 8040 Irish Drive in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc within the County of Middlesex.
The Committee of Adjustment for the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc received the application and approved it at their March 2025 meeting. A Planning Staff Report recommended that the application be denied.
The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc has indicated that they will not be participating in these proceedings.
AND THE TRIBUNAL marked as Exhibit 1 the Affidavit of Service attesting to proper Notice having been given for this Case Management Conference (“CMC”) and proceeded to conduct a CMC on May 26, 2025, held by videoconference;
AND THE TRIBUNAL confirmed the Parties’ awareness of Tribunal-led mediation;
AND THE TRIBUNAL at the CMC set a hearing to commence on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, by videoconference and beginning at 10 a.m. The Parties will submit a Joint Document Book to the Tribunal by Friday, September 19, 2025.
