INTRODUCTION
1This Decision and Order arises from the second Case Management Conference (“CMC”) held on November 20, 2025. The proceeding arises from an appeal filed by Laplante Poultry Farms Ltd.(“Appellant”) under s. 140(1) of the Environmental Protection Act regarding the issuance of a Director’s Order No. 1-315703083 by the Director, Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks regarding the Appellant’s operations at 17141 Rombough Road, Monkland, in the Township of North Stormont. The Appellant claims that he is in the process of relocating his operations and that he has completed numerous studies for the existing site to try to address concerns resulting from neighbour’s complaints.
PRELIMINARY MATTERS

2The Parties agreed and confirmed that a motion to Stay was not necessary.

3The Parties have expressed an interest in pursuing the Tribunal-led mediation and have agreed to contact the Case Coordinator.

4The Tribunal did not receive any further Party or Participant status requests during this CMC.
PROCEDURAL MATTERS
5During the proceedings, the Parties discussed the draft Procedural Order (“PO”) and the Issues List (“IL”). The Tribunal was advised that, given the expected number of witnesses to testify, seven days would be required for the Merit Hearing. The Tribunal directs the Parties to file the final PO and IL on or before Monday, June 1, 2026.
6The Tribunal scheduled a Merit Hearing to proceed by video on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 10 a.m., continuing until Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The Tribunal will not sit on Saturday, June 20, 2026 and Sunday, June 21, 2026.

The Merit Hearing will proceed by video from Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 10 a.m. until Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The Tribunal will not sit on Saturday, June 20, 2026 and Sunday, June 21, 2026;
There will be no further notice; and
This Member is not seized.
