MEMORANDUM OF ORAL DECISION DELIVERED BY CARMINE TUCCI ON DECEMBER 7, 2023 AND ORDER OF THE TRIBUNAL
This is the fourth Case Management Conference (“CMC”) for Appeals filed in respect of the Town of Halton Hills’ and the Regional Municipality of Halton’s approval and adoption of Official Plan Amendment No. 44 (“OPA No. 44”). OPA No. 44 was an amendment to ensure the Glen Williams Secondary Plan (adopted in 2007) is in conformity with current Provincial and Regional policy.
The Tribunal heard that only one Appeal remains, that of 1404699 Ontario Ltd.
Through discussions, an offer has been submitted for the resolution of the remaining Appeal by 1404699 Ontario Ltd. Mr. Burton informed the Tribunal that he will require appropriate time as to allow sufficient consultation with the Glen Williams Community Association and an opportunity for him to seek instructions from Council on the Settlement Proposal.
On consent, the Parties have agreed to a further CMC at which Mr. Burton shall have had sufficient time to receive instructions from both Glen Williams Community Association and Town Council.
