MEMORANDUM OF ORAL DECISION DELIVERED BY M. A. SILLS ON JANUARY 24, 2023
1The Tribunal convened the first Case Management Conference (“CMC”) in the matter of appeals from the passing of Zoning By-law Amendment No. 595-2022, a By-law to establish policies pertaining to certain lands within the Yonge and Eglington Secondary Plan area, otherwise referred to as the “Villages ZBLA”.
2The appeals are all site-specific, and no requests for Party or Participant status have been received by the Tribunal. The Tribunal was advised that discussions are taking place.
3The appeal by Medallion Properties Inc. was subsequently consolidated with the appeal by 1500 Bayview Avenue Ontario Land Tribunal File OLT-22-004285.
4At the request of the Parties, a second CMC was scheduled for April 18, 2023 but subsequently adjourned at the request of the Parties.
5The Tribunal is to be updated on the status of the remaining appeals as that information becomes available.
