DECISION DELIVERED BY S. BRAUN AND ORDER OF THE TRIBUNAL
This was the second Case Management Conference (“CMC”) convened in relation to appeals against Council’s failure to make decisions with respect to applications by Oakwood Park Investments GP Inc. to amend the Official Plan designation and the zoning of lands known municipally as 601, 603 and 605 Oakwood Park to permit the development of a five-storey, 30-unit residential rental building.
At a previous CMC held before a panel differently constituted, counsel for the Appellant advised that although there had been discussions with City of Toronto (“City”), the proposal and timing thereof, was the subject of reconsideration by the proponents. At the request of the parties, the Tribunal scheduled this subsequent CMC for the purposes of allowing any resubmission to be reviewed.
Counsel for the Appellant indicated his client hopes to resolve some or all of the City’s concerns with a resubmission but requires more time to complete same. As such, he requested the Tribunal schedule a subsequent CMC in March 2022 to allow sufficient time for the completion of a resubmission, as well as time for consideration by City Council. Counsel for the City consented to the request and was agreeable to the timing proposed.
A CMC will be held video hearing commencing at 10 a.m. on March 15, 2022. The parties are directed to file a Procedural Order and Issues List in advance of the next CMC and come prepared to set dates for a hearing.
Parties and participants are asked to log into the video hearing at least 15 minutes before the start of the event to test their video and audio connections:
