On October 13, 2021 the Ontario Land Tribunals issued its Decision and Order (“Decision”) on the above noted case.
Rule 24.04 of the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal’s Rules of Practice and Procedure states that the Tribunal may at any time correct a technical or typographical error made in a decision or order.
The Tribunal has corrected the Decision under the authority of this rule by replacing the incorrectly attached Schedule 1 with a new Schedule 1.
A corrected version of the Decision and Order issued on October 25, 2021 is enclosed with this communication. This enclosed Decision replaces the Decision and Order issued on October 13, 2021.

MEMORANDUM OF ORAL DECISION DELIVERED BY K.R. ANDREWS ON October 5, 2021 AND ORDER OF THE TRIBUNAL
INTRODUCTION
1This is the first Case Management Conference (“CMC”) respecting an appeal by Sovereign Ransom Street Ltd. (the “Appellant/Applicant”) following the decision of the Town to refuse its Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment applications to permit development of ten two-story townhouse units at 20 Ransom Street in Acton.
Service of Notice of CMC
2There was no issue with service of the Notice of this CMC, and so no further notice is required. The Tribunal was in receipt of the Affidavit of Service, which was marked as Exhibit 1.
Requests for Status
3There were no requests for party status.
4The following persons attended the CMC seeking participant status:
- John Schaljo
- Alan MacDonald
- Jaspal Brar
- Andrew Sobczak
5All four individuals explained that they live close to the proposed development and have various concerns respecting same.
6On consent of the parties, the Tribunal granted participant status to all four individuals.
MEDIATION AND SETTLEMENT
7The Tribunal explored the possibility of mediation and settlement with the parties. The parties confirmed that they were both open to resolution but had nothing more to report. The parties also confirmed that they would contact the Tribunal if it seemed like Tribunal-led mediation might be productive.
PROCEDURAL ORDER AND ISSUES LIST
8The Tribunal received and reviewed a draft issues list prepared by the parties prior to the CMC. The Parties promised to have a revised draft delivered to the Tribunal by October 12, 2021. The Tribunal is now in receipt of same, finds it acceptable, and the proceedings shall accordingly be governed by it.
HEARING
9Upon request of the parties, the Tribunal set a five-day hearing commencing on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 10 a.m. by VH. No further Notice is required for the hearing.

14The Tribunal Orders that:
- The date and particulars of the hearing are set out above;
- The Procedural Order appended as Schedule 1 shall govern the proceedings;
- John Schaljo, Alan MacDonald, Jaspal Brar and Andrew Sobczak are granted participant status. Deadlines for their respective participant statements shall be governed by the Procedural Order;
- This Member is not seized but may be spoken to through the Case Coordinator if any issues arise.
