BEFORE: Harry Freedman, Vice-Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; December 27, 2001
Following the release of the Board’s decision earlier today in these two matters, I was provided with a letter from counsel for Urtech Electric Inc. advising that the parties had agreed to adjourn these proceedings sine die on a without prejudice basis on the condition that Urtech Electric Inc. file a response by January 25, 2002. It’s not clear what consequence the parties agreed would result if Urtech Electric Ltd. failed to file its response within the time the parties established as a condition for agreeing to the adjournment of the hearing that had been scheduled in these matters for January 2 and 3, 2002. Nevertheless, that is not something that needs to be addressed or considered at this time.
Having regard to the agreement of the parties, the Board hereby adjourns the hearing that had been scheduled for January 2 and 3, 2002 in these two matters sine die for a period not exceeding one year. Unless within that time any of the parties request that the Board proceed with either or both of these matters, they will be deemed terminated without any further notice to the parties.
