Ontario Provincial Police Association v. The Crown in Right of Ontario represented by Management Board of Cabinet
2213-01-R Ontario Provincial Police Association, Applicant v. The Crown in Right of Ontario represented by Management Board of Cabinet, Responding Party v. Public Service Employees Union, Intervenor.
BEFORE: Mary Ellen Cummings, Alternate Chair, and Board Members J. A. Ronson and H. Peacock.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; November 21, 2001
1On November 20, 2001, the Board directed the taking of a representation vote among employees who are instructors at the Ontario Police College or under the supervision of the Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police or the Chief Firearms Instructor for Ontario and are currently represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees’ Union.
2In that decision, the Board made an error in setting out the dates when polls will be held. The correct information is that the vote will commence on November 26, 2001 and end on December 7, 2001. Appendix A to the decision was and remains correct. Polls will be in different locations each day. Employees are directed to look closely at the voting arrangements attached to the “Notice of Vote and of Hearing” to determine the times and locations of polls.
3The employer is directed to post this decision adjacent to the earlier Board postings.
