DECISION OF THE BOARD; September 21, 2001
1This is an application for review under section 68 of the Employment Standards Act R.S.O. 1990, c. E. 14 as amended (the “ESA”).
2The Board is in receipt of correspondence dated September 20, 2001 and September 21, 2001 from counsel for the applicant in which he requests an adjournment of the hearing scheduled for Monday, September 24, 2001. Counsel for the applicant indicates his understanding that the Ministry of Labour is taking no position regarding his request for an adjournment and that he has had no success in his efforts to contact the responding party, Ahmed Rashid.
3Having considered the reasons for the applicant’s request set out therein, the Board is not prepared to grant an adjournment at this time. The applicant may, however, renew its request before the panel assigned to hear this matter at the hearing on September 24, 2001.
