Ontario Labour Relations Board
File Nos.: 0155-01-HS; 0156-01-HS
Parties: Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada, Local 7135, Applicant v. Ministry of Labour, Responding Party.
Before: David A. McKee, Vice-Chair.
Decision of the Board: May 7, 2001
[1]. On April 5, 2001, the Board received a letter from the applicant requesting that the Board accept the letter as an appeal from an Order apparently issued by a Health and Safety Officer of the Ministry of Labour. The letter did not accompany a properly completed form for the application itself or for the stay which the applicant also sought.
[2]. On April 17, 2001, the Registrar wrote to the applicant indicating that this letter did not meet the requirements of the Act and the Board’s rules of procedure with respect to the filing of an appeal or a request for a stay. The applicant was advised of what was required and was further warned that a failure to file the application in the proper form within ten working days of the letter would result in a dismissal of the application.
[3]. The Board has received nothing from the applicant. Accordingly, these applications are dismissed.
