DECISION OF THE BOARD; July 24, 2001
1. The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 2486 (“Local 2486”) requests an extension to August 17, 2001 for the filing of its response to this application under section 99 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995, S.O. 1995, c. 1, as am. concerning a work assignment. Counsel for Local 2486 advised that he could not reach counsel for the applicant due to his vacation schedule to request his consent and the vacation schedule of counsel for Local 2486, as well as his client’s, make it impossible to file a response before that date.
2. As this matter has not yet been scheduled for a consultation, and it is unlikely that such a consultation will be scheduled until well after the end of August, the Board hereby extends the time to both Local 2486 and Douro Roofing & Sheet Metal Contractors Inc. for filing their responses to this application to August 20, 2001 or such later date as the parties may agree.
