DECISION OF THE BOARD
This is an application under section 50 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (“the OHSA”).
The application was delivered to the responding party on August 2, 2001 and filed with the Board on August 8, 2001. Pursuant to the Board’s Rules of Procedure and the Board’s Confirmation of Filing Under Section 50 of the Act (Form B-41) dated August 14, 2001, the responding party was to deliver and file its response not later than 10 days after the application was delivered to it.
By facsimile transmission sent August 14, 2001, counsel for the responding party advised that he had just been retained by the responding party and acknowledged receipt of Form B-41. He further requested “a small extension of time in which to file our client’s response”, but did not specify the length of the extension requested.
The time for filing the response herein is hereby extended to Friday, August 17, 2001, or to such later time as the parties agree and advise the Board.
