DECISION OF THE BOARD; May 14, 2001
1This appears to be an application for reconsideration of the Board’s decision in this matter dated February 27, 2001 in which the Board declined to make an Order to Pay in respect of former non-union employees of Zettel Metalcraft Ltd. (“Metalcraft”), although it was not properly filed as such, and does not appear to have been delivered to the parties in this matter. This request for reconsideration takes the form of correspondence dated and filed on April 23, 2001, and signed in the name of Anne Marie Keen (Currie). Ms. Keen was not a party in this matter, and did not participate in the hearing which gave rise to, among others, my decision of February 27, 2001. It appears that, as a non-union employee of Metalcraft, she had been given notice of that hearing, attended the first day, and received copies of all decisions which have issued as a result. To the extent her letter of April 23, 2001 is a request for reconsideration, it is beyond the time stipulated in Rule 96 of the Board’s Rules of Procedure for making an application for reconsideration. No explanation is given for the delay in making the application, other than Ms. Keen appears to have been unaware, until recently, of the Board’s authority to reconsider its decisions. In any event, she did not request an extension for filing an application for reconsideration.
2Because the request for reconsideration has not apparently been delivered to the parties in this matter, is untimely, and contains no request to extend the time limits for filing, I decline to reconsider the Board’s decision of February 27, 2001 in this matter.
