DECISION OF THE BOARD; April 18, 2001
This is a reference to the Board from the Minister of Labour under subsection 3(2) of the Hospital Labour Disputes Arbitration Act (the “Act”).
The Board is in receipt of a letter dated April 16, 2001, from counsel representing organizations which assert, or may assert, an interest in the matter. Counsel indicates that the Haldimand Norfolk CCAC seeks intervenor status and counsel requests an adjournment of the hearing days scheduled for April 19 and 20, 2001 in order to obtain instructions from other organizations.
The Board is not prepared to adjourn the hearing of this application unless the applicant and the responding party give their consent. If a person or organization wishes to apply for leave to intervene, they may speak to the matter at the hearing.
