DECISION OF THE BOARD; November 7, 2001
1By decision dated October 15, 2001, the Board directed the parties to advise the Board by no later than October 26, 2001 as to whether or not they wished this reference under the Hospital Labour Disputes Arbitration Act to be listed for a hearing, failing which it would be deemed terminated. The matter has been adjourned for more than one year.
2The Board has not heard from the parties. This is a reference from the Minister of Labour. It is therefore appropriate that the Minister have the opportunity to indicate whether he objects to the termination. The Board requests that, if the Minister wishes the matter to proceed, the Board be so advised within ten days of the date of this decision. If no such indication is received, the matter will be considered terminated and the Board’s file will be closed.
