National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-Canada) v. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc.
File No.: 0969-01-R Applicant: National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-Canada) Responding Party: Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc.
Before: Timothy W. Sargeant, Vice-Chair, and Board Members J. A. Ronson and R. R. Montague.
Decision of the Board: August 21, 2001
1This is an application for certification.
2By decision dated July 31, 2001, the Board, differently constituted, permitted the applicant to withdraw this application.
3By letter dated August 15, 2001 counsel for the employer seeks various rulings and confirmations from the Board in relation to this file.
4In the Board’s view no useful labour relations purpose would be served in granting any of these requests. The matter was terminated once the Board permitted the applicant to withdraw its application in the decision of July 31, 2001. The Board therefore declines to make any further rulings or confirmations as requested by counsel for the applicant in its letter dated August 15, 2001.
"Timothy W. Sargeant"
