DECISION OF THE BOARD; July 12, 2001
1This is an application for certification. By decision dated July 9, 2001, the Board directed the responding party to file submissions in response to the applicant’s request for a second representation vote. The first vote, held June 20, 2001, resulted in a tie, with one ballot segregated and not counted. The union concedes that the individual who cast that ballot should be included in the bargaining unit. Under the circumstances, a second vote will be required. A decision directing such a vote will be issued very shortly.
2The Board hereby cancels the hearing dates scheduled in respect of the first application for July 16 and 17, 2001, as it appears that there is no dispute to be heard.
