3358-00-U Yodit Tesema, Applicant v. Universal Workers Union, L.I.U.N.A. Local 183, Responding Party v. APCOA/Standard Parking of Canada Ltd., Intervenor.
BEFORE: Anthony Brown, Vice-Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; November 14, 2001
1This is an application filed under section 96 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 alleging violation of section 74 of the Act. It is scheduled for a consultation on November 27, 2001. Counsel for the applicant requests an adjournment because she is “unavailable” on November 27, 2001. The responding party and intervenor object to an adjournment, noting that there have already been delays by the applicant in bringing this matter on.
2In the absence of consent by the other parties, the Board does not grant adjournments except in the rarest of circumstances. The Board is not aware of any circumstances that justify an adjournment in the instant matter. The request for an adjournment is denied. The consultation will proceed on November 27, 2001.
