DECISION OF THE BOARD; June 11, 2001
Decision
1The Board, by decision in this matter dated May 31, 2001 made a number of procedural directions, including a direction that any party affected by the applicant’s challenge to the proposed project agreement who wished to participate must notify the Board and the applicant of its intention to do so not later than Wednesday June 6, 2001. The Board also directed the applicant, if it needed a production order, to make the request for such an order by Wednesday June 6, 2001.
2The only responding party to advise the Board and the applicant of its desire to participate was the Sarnia Construction Association as agent for Shell Canada Products (“Shell Canada”).
3The applicant requested more time for requesting a production order. It wanted an extension to June 12, 2001 if it was necessary to secure more information about wages, hours of work and overtime provisions in some recently negotiated provincial agreements. The extension sought is granted, but there is no change to the other dates fixed by the Board for filing submissions.
4Given that the applicant and Shell Canada are the only parties participating in this proceeding, it is not necessary for the applicant or Shell Canada to serve any other responding party with the material they are filing in this matter.
“Harry Freedman”
for the Board
