1This is a certification application under the Labour Relations Act, 1995 (“the Act”).
2A response is required within two days of the responding party’s receipt of the application (sections 7(14) and 8.1(3)). The response in this matter should have been received on November 19, 2001.
3On November 20, 2001 counsel for the responding party requests a one day extension to file a response (i.e. two days after the date on which the response was due) on account of the absence of an official of the responding party.
4The vote will not be delayed on account of any untimely response received from the responding party. The panel hearing this matter can decide to what extent it will have regard to the response.
