DECISION OF THE BOARD; July 31, 2001

1. This is an application under section 96 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995, (“the Act”) in which it is alleged the responding party has violated sections 70, 72, 73 and 76 of the Act.

2. The applicant requests the Board to expedite the hearing in this matter.

3. The applicant’s request arises out of the fact that the employees represented by the applicant are on strike.

4. Under the circumstances, the Board agrees that it is appropriate to bring the matter on for hearing quickly. Accordingly, the matter will be held on August 10, 2001 at 9:30 a.m. at the Board offices, 2^nd Floor, 505 University Avenue, Toronto. The responding party must deliver its response to the applicant and file it with the Board within five business days of the date of this decision.
