Ontario Public Service Employees Union v. The Corporation of the Township of Augusta
3705-00-R Ontario Public Service Employees Union, Applicant v. The Corporation of the Township of Augusta, Responding Party.
BEFORE: Mary Ellen Cummings, Alternate Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; June 21, 2001
[1]. This is an application for reconsideration of a Board decision, dated May 22, 2001. Both parties submit that the Board made an error, through inadvertence, in failing to incorporate the parties’ full agreement about the description of the bargaining unit. The parties are correct, and the Board apologizes for the error. The Board hereby amends paragraph 3 of the May 22, 2001 decision as follows:
- Having regard to the agreement of the parties, the Board further finds that:
all employees of The Corporation of the Township of Augusta in the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, save and except supervisors and persons above the rank of supervisor,
constitute a unit of employees of the responding party appropriate for collective bargaining.
Clarity note: The Chief Building Official is excluded from the bargaining unit. The Deputy Clerk is included in the bargaining unit as long as the incumbent remains in that position.
