Decision
1This is a reference from the Minister of Labour (“the Minister”) pursuant to section 3(2) of the Hospital Labour Disputes Arbitration Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. H.14 (“the Act”).
2The parties entered into an agreement on April 4, 2001 in which the union purported to withdraw the matter. A copy of that agreement is attached. It would appear that the Minister has not been informed of that agreement. In any event, the Board has not been informed by the Minister or his duly appointed designate that the Board should not consider the question in paragraph 5 of the reference.
3The parties may wish to consider requesting the Minister to withdraw the reference. If the Minister or his duly appointed designate does so, the Board will not consider the matter further.
