Employment Practices Branch File No. 51 078405
BEFORE: Marilyn Silverman, Vice‑Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; November 7, 2001
Decision
These are five (5) applications filed under section 67 of the Employment Standards Act (“the Act”).
Counsel for the responding party (“the employer”) requests that the matter be adjourned and rescheduled to accommodate her maternity leave. She is available from the week of March 11, 2002 on. All parties with the exception of one of the applicants consents to the extension.
Having regard to these circumstances, the Board is prepared to grant the adjournment. It is most efficient for these cases to be heard together and the majority of the applicants and the Ministry of Labour are prepared to allow the matter to be delayed.
These matters are referred to the Registrar to schedule for hearing together as soon as practicable after March 11, 2002.
