DECISION OF THE BOARD; June 22, 2001
[1]. By Board decision dated May 29, 2001, the Board ordered a representation vote on a date to be set by the Registrar. The parties have now agreed to hold a representation vote on June 27, 2001. Other vote arrangements will be as determined by the Registrar and set out in the attached “Notice of Vote”.
[2]. The voting constituency is as follows:
all employees of the Town of Midland Public Works Department, Town of Midland, save and except foreman, persons above the rank of foreman, office staff, student employees (as defined herein), occasional employees (as defined herein) and persons covered by subsisting collective agreements.
[3]. All those in the voting constituency as of May 29, 2001 will be eligible to vote.
[4]. Employees will be asked to indicate whether they wish to be represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 636 or the Ontario Public Service Employees Union in their employment relationship with the Town of Midland.
[5]. The Town of Midland is directed to post copies of this decision and the “Notice of Vote” in a place where they will come to the attention of the employees eligible to vote. These copies must remain posted for 30 days.
