DECISION OF THE BOARD; August 1, 2001
1The hearing in these two matters (an application for certification in Board File No. 0134-01-R and an application under section 96 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995, S.O. 1995, c. 1, as am., (the “Act”) was scheduled to come before this panel of the Board on August 1, 2001. There are a number of preliminary and procedural issues that the parties have raised in correspondence exchanged between counsel. Before the hearing convened, the parties met with a Labour Relations Officer and subsequently reached an agreement on how this matter ought to proceed.
2Having regard to the parties’ agreement, the hearing of these two matters is adjourned to November 22, 2001. The parties agreed that the hearing fixed for that date will deal with the preliminary matters that were to have been determined by the Board on August 1st (as discussed in the correspondence between counsel). The Board notes that the parties have also agreed to meet on September 14, 2001 on their own.
