DECISION OF THE BOARD; September 25, 2001
This is an application for certification filed under the construction industry provisions of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 (the “Act”).
The responding party (the “employer”) did not file a response to the application nor did it participate in the application in any way. A vote was held and the majority of employees voted in favour of the applicant.
By letter dated August 29 counsel for the applicant requests that the Board amend the application to change the name of the employer to “Talic Woodwork Ltd., carrying on business as Art Woodwork”. The applicant advises that the address, fax and phone number of the employer is the same.
The employer shall have five days from the date of this decision to provide any submissions in respect of the name change following which the Board shall deal with the issuance of the certificate.
