File No.: 3537-00-R Date: September 26, 2001
Applicant: The Corporation of the City of Quinte West Responding Parties: International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 636; Canadian Union of Public Employees; Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 799
Before: Patrick Kelly, Vice-Chair, and Board Members J. A. Rundle and R. R. Montague.
DECISION OF THE BOARD
1The Board is in receipt of a request for reconsideration from the Canadian Union of Public Employees (“CUPE”) in respect of the Board’s decision of August 23, 2001. CUPE contends that the Board’s declaration in subparagraph (vi) of paragraph 4 of that decision, wherein it declared that the Corporation of the City of Quinte West (“Quinte West”) is no longer bound by the collective agreement between Quinte West Public Utilities Commission and CUPE and its Local 799 (Water Pollution Control Plant), was erroneously made.
2We direct that any submissions in response which the responding parties wish to make with respect to CUPE’s request for reconsideration be filed and delivered on or before October 11, 2001. Any submissions in reply which CUPE wishes to make to those responses must be filed and delivered by no later than October 15, 2001. The Board will then give further consideration to this matter.
