1This is an application under section 50 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (the “Act”).
2By letter dated October 31, 2000, the responding party indicates that he will be unavailable to attend on the scheduled day for hearing, November 15, 2000, because he has another commitment out of town.
3The responding party indicates that the applicant has not consented to the adjournment.
4The Board’s practice in respect of adjournments is that they are not granted in the absence of consent from the other parties, except in very exceptional circumstances. In this matter, the Board is not aware of any exceptional circumstances. The request for an adjournment is denied. The matter will proceed on November 15, 2000.
