0354-00-U Jacques Daoust, Applicant v. Union of Needletrades, Industrial and Textile Employees, Responding Party v. Consoltex Inc., Intervenor.
BEFORE: Bram Herlich, Vice-Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; December 18, 2000
1By decision dated November 15, 2000, I directed the applicant and the responding party trade union to advise the Board whether there is any reason for the instant matter to proceed in view of recent submissions from the intervenor employer.
2Since that decision issued, a submission dated November 13, 2000 filed by the trade union has been brought to my attention. The union advises, as did the employer previously, that a decision of the arbitrator has issued dismissing the applicant’s grievance. The union also advises of certain steps which have been taken to secure the applicant’s possible return to work. The union also requests, in view of these recent developments, that this application be dismissed.
3The applicant has not indicated to the Board that there is any reason for the instant matter to proceed.
4Further to the Board’s November 15, 2000 decision and having regard to the uncontested submissions of the employer and the trade union, this application is hereby dismissed.
“Bram Herlich”
for the Board
