Ontario Labour Relations Board
Ronald Paquette, Applicant v. National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-Canada), Responding Party.
BEFORE: Anthony Brown, Vice-Chair.
DECISION OF THE BOARD; November 3, 2000
1By letter dated November 2, 2000, the applicant informs the Board that he has been subpoenaed to appear as a witness at a second degree murder trial commencing November 14, 2000 and therefore seeks an adjournment of the hearing of this matter which is scheduled to be heard on November 15, 2000. Under these exceptional circumstances, the Board considers it appropriate to adjourn the hearing. As it appears uncertain as to how long the applicant’s involvement in the trial might be, the Board is unable to schedule new dates at this time. Accordingly, the application is adjourned sine die (that is, to no fixed date).
2For this application to proceed further, the applicant must notify the Registrar in writing that he wishes it to be rescheduled for hearing. If no such notification is received within one year of the date of this decision, the application will be deemed terminated.
