DECISION OF THE BOARD; November 23, 2000
1This is an application pursuant to section 68 of the Employment Standards Act. The workplace parties have entered into Minutes of Settlement dated November 9, 2000. Having regard to the Minutes of Settlement, I hereby order that the employer be paid $19,980.20. The remainder, being $1,998.02 would normally be paid to the Government of Ontario Consolidated Revenue Fund. The employer requests that, in light of the fact that no monies will be paid to the employee, this amount be returned to it as well.
2The Board directs the Ministry of Labour to advise the Board of its position on this request within 15 working days of the date of this decision, with a copy to the employer. The employer may respond in writing within 7 working days of the Ministry’s submissions.
3I remain seized of this matter to deal with this final issue.
